Hawthorn Court at Ahwatukee is a dementia care community based on choice, independence, comfort and security. Designed with a welcoming residential feel, the community consists of two 22-unit resident neighborhoods, each with their own common spaces, a fully equipped country kitchen, dining area, and intimate living room. A variety of barrier-free strategies are used to enable movement throughout the community. Units open up into a centralized living space for all residents, creating a social atmosphere within each neighborhood. Each residential wing is supported by its own sheltered and secured courtyard with wandering paths, landscape and shaded sitting areas.
